December is here, which means there are just a few weeks to explore the many Brooklyn holiday markets offering local and handmade wares for gift-giving.

There are plenty of options this year, with both outdoor and indoor festivities. Here are some to check out this season:

Bed Stuy Winter Wonderland
Thursdays to Sundays until December 23, 12 to 6 p.m.
Marcy Plaza, Bed Stuy

The outdoor market, which kicked off on November 30, showcases small business owners and artisans with a festive atmosphere and special programming. There is a dedicated “Santa’s Hollow” for photos with Santa and Mrs. Claus, open air dining, and a trolley providing transportation for shopping. Special events include toy giveaways, caroling, and live entertainment. The full list of local vendors and the calendar of events is available online.

Saturdays and Sundays through December 22, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

The annual indoor market started its weekends of shopping on November 30. Local vendors will have collectibles and hand-crafted items for the people and pets on your holiday list.

Fort Hamilton Holiday Market & Tree Lighting Spectacular
Friday, December 6, 4 p.m.
Fort Hamilton, Bay Ridge

Browse a festive marketplace with handmade items, treats, and other treasures before enjoying the lighting of the tree at 5:30 p.m. The event is free and is open to the general public, but registration is required.

BKLYN Clay Holiday Pop-Up Market
Saturday, December 7 and Sunday, Decemeber 8, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Bergen Brooklyn, 84 St. Marks Place, Park Slope

BKLYN Clay has chosen a group of talented, local ceramic artists to participate in a pop-up holiday market.

Renegade Craft Fair Brooklyn
Saturday, December 7 and Sunday, December 8 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
ZeroSpace, 337-345 Butler Street, Gowanus

The Renegade Craft Fair brings the work of artists and designers from across the country to Brooklyn. This year shoppers will be able to check out the work of over 150 artisans.

Wallabout Wonderland Holiday Market
Saturday, December 7 and Sunday, December 8, noon to 5 p.m.
Building 293, intersection of Assembly Road and Gee Avenue

There is just one weekend to catch this market, which will include 200 New York City designers and artisans offering jewelry, home decor, and fashion. The seventh annual market will also have family-friendly activities, food, and music.

FAD Market Holiday Pop-up: Boerum Hill
Weekends of December 7 and 8, 14 and 15, and 21 and 22, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Empire Stores

FAD Market has three pop-ups this year, all offering the fashion, art, and design for which the market is known. Each weekend will feature 150 makers spread out across the three locations. The makers featured will switch up each weekend, for a total of 450 artisans displaying their work.

Holiday Market with Brooklyn Pop-Up
Sunday, December 8, Saturday, December 21, and Sunday, December 22, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Brooklyn Museum, Beaux-Arts Court, 3rd Floor

Browse a mix of artwork, jewelry, home goods, and more at the pop-up inside the museum. On the weekend of December 21 to 22 the acapella group VocalSoul will provide some festive music. Access to the market is free with museum admission.

Sundays from December 1 to 29, 12 to 6 p.m.
Industry City, Sunset Park

Find unique gifts and treats to enjoy while supporting local businesses each Sunday in December at Industry City.

Essential Bushwick Holiday Market
Saturday, December 14, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
114 Forrest Street, Bushwick

The Bushwick market returns this year and gift buyers will be able to enjoy some music, festive lights, and refreshments while they check out the hand-crafted goods available.
