While the photos and floor plan in the listing don’t quite match up, this gracious apartment on a high floor of a Carroll Gardens brownstone has six rooms, old-school details, and decent closet space.

It’s “three flights up,” according to the listing, so either on the penultimate or top floor of the five-story, five-unit building, depending on whether the stoop is counted. The photos show mostly No. 4 with a few other snaps and a floor plan from No. 5A, going by old listings.

The apartments are similar, apart from the attic story’s lower ceilings. No. 5A has been occupied for years; No. 4 rented only six months ago, according to StreetEasy.

The photos show high ceilings, original crown and baseboard moldings, picture-frame moldings, parquet with inlaid borders, French doors, and large windows. While the layout is flexible, the large windowed rooms with mantels could work as living and dining rooms, leaving the side room and den — both with closets and big enough for queen beds — as bedrooms.

An old listing for No. 4 shows a simple white kitchen with black stone countertop and no dishwasher. The black and white bathroom appears small but serviceable with a pedestal sink and tub with shower.

While there is no central air or in-unit laundry, the building, which sold to an LLC in 2019 for $5 million, does have free washers and dryers and extra storage in the basement, according to the listing.

Open houses are scheduled for this weekend, and move-ins could start as early as Saturday. Listed by Tita Omeze of Corcoran, the floor-through is priced at $5,450 a month. What are your thoughts?
