A ghost sign has been revealed on the corner of Flatbush and 5th Avenue in Park Slope, and Brownstoner columnist Cara Greenberg snapped some photos.
It’s a sign for a picture-framing business, established 1876 — but the name of the business is almost completely illegible.
Located at 178 Flatbush Avenue across from Barclays and next to Shake Shack, the site was until recently home to a one-story commercial building.
Owner Joseph Zelik plans a two-story commercial building with offices, city records reveal. Joseph Spector of Dome Architecture and Design is designing.
