Expand your knowledge of Bed Stuy with a Municipal Art Society walking tour exploring the history-rich streets of the western edge of the neighborhood.
Tour-goers will be able to gaze upon a range of architectural styles and details, from mansard roofs to streamlined Art Deco ornament. Brownstoner columnist Suzanne Spellen and Morgan Munsey, both preservationists, will lead participants through the social history and development of the area while taking a look at residential architecture, houses of worship, and clubhouses.
The in-person tour takes place on Saturday, December 7 at 2 p.m., rain or shine. Tickets are $35 ($25 for members). For more information and to purchase tickets, visit the Municipal Art Society website.
